This is my skull fountain. The water is colored red. I get the red dye at a cake decorating shop. This coloring is much darker and more convincing than food coloring. I have also colored the skulls darker with shoe polish now. I have painted the post and pool with gray paint also. This year I also used styrofoam blocks to form what looks like stone blocks around the base. A simple pond pump is used to pump the water up inside the “pole” and dispenses inside the skull top. The fluid rolls out of the mouth of the skull at the top and trickles down. I also have a 12V red light inside the skull at the top for an added effect.
